Hello world!

Here is the first "news" post for the site!
We have been wanting to give back to the Fargo chess community for while now. There have been less and less tournaments in the area and we wanted to find a way to get involved in helping to promote chess in the area. My wife and I are building a new house with a separate studio/gym building on our property and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to start a club.

As you can see, there is still a couple walls that need to be put up.

If all goes well, the space will be ready in the summer.

We will be purchasing 8 chess sets/clocks, 16 chairs, and a few tables to start. As we start out, room for 16 should be sufficient. If attendance grows, we will continue to buy chess equipment.

Hopefully everyone gets vaccinated in the next few months, Covid disappears, and we can live like it's 2018 again. 🙂
